Grub Meals impacted 100 low income families by reducing their expenditure on food and prevented more than 1,200 kilograms of food waste in four months time. GrubCycle, the host organisation, combats food wastage by funnelling surplus food items back to the community while subsidising lower income families with basic necessities.
In order to build up this social enterprise the VIP Fellows have injected significant experience to help amplify its social impact and expedite the process of creating it. Their master's degrees in process engineering and economics and education, a bachelor's degree in marketing, combined with decades of experience in operations management, occupational health and safety, food safety, civil engagement and participation as well as media and journalism have been a surefire combination to deliver impeccable social impact for their beneficiaries.
